A new release to our List Members, the 2021 RR Poet “Alliteration” is a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 13% Cabernet Franc, all sourced from our very own estate PineBrake Vineyard. Only 2 barrels of this wine were made! Extremely Limited Quantities Available.

Winemaker Notes:
The 2021 Alliteration is deep ruby-purple in color with lifted aromatics of violets, cassis, black plum, eucalyptus, leather, cigar tobacco, exotic spices, and gravel. The wine is fabulously rich, well structured, and concentrated on the palate, yet it maintains an aura of sophistication, finesse, and elegance. Rich, firm tannins and crisp acidity frame a stunning, multifaceted palate: layers of black plum, blackberry, cassis, violets, lead pencil, tar, mint, aged cigar tobacco, exotic spices, and gravel. The very long finish resonates with notes of cassis, aged cigar tobacco, exotic spices, and smoldering incense. This would be absolutely perfect with any game dish or ribeye or backstrap. This is a profound wine that will reward patience. Properly cellared, this wine should reach maturity in 10-12 years and will gracefully evolve for 25+ years. - Billo Naravane, MW

This mélange of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 13% Cabernet Franc makes up the 2021 Alliteration from RR Poet. Boasting a lovely brooding dark garnet-purple core with a fluorescent red rim in the glass, this wine needs about 10-15 minutes in the glass before it starts to show its true potential. This gorgeous, full-bodied effort has a wonderful sense of place and terrific balance as well as stunning notes of crushed blackberries, graphite, cassis, grated chocolate, powdered charcoal, and cedary herbs. Fine-toothed tannins, perfect levels of acidity and a lush mouthfeel help complete this incredible bottle of wine. Highly recommended. 97 Points - International Wine Report (Jeremy Young)

In our tastings, we have not detected this flaw; however, in the interest of transparency we are providing this disclaimer as a ‘buyer beware'.
